MAKE & TAKE CRAFTS

Audience: Children & Families
Support pollinators and other creatures in your own backyard by planting take-home native seeds in a recycled paper pot or building a nest for native bees using natural materials. We’ll provide everything you need and show you how!

SPRING NATIVE
WILDFLOWER HIKE
Location: Meet at the Visitors Center
Audience: All ages
Planting and protecting native species is one of the most important actions you can take to ensure the health of our local ecosystem. During this tour, you’ll learn how to identify native woodland species, where to acquire native plants and seeds, and tips on how to incorporate them into your own home landscape.
2-3 PM
INVASIVE PLANT PULL
Location: Meet at the Visitors Center
Audience: Teens & Adults
Make a difference in Fernwood’s natural areas by helping to manage invasive plant species. You’ll learn firsthand how to identify problem species and how to safely and effectively slow their spread. Refreshments will be provided as a special thank you to all those who participate.
