Edible Evergreens

  • Fernwood Botanical Garden 13988 Range Line Road Niles, MI, 49120 United States (map)

Class Details:

Did you know that many common evergreen needles are edible? In fact, they’re surprisingly rich in vitamins C and A. They also add a lovely touch of fresh flavor to drinks and baked goods. In this class we’ll venture outdoors to identify various edible and non-edible evergreens. Then we’ll harvest needles and process them for use in a take-home recipe. Best of all, samples of evergreen cookies and beverages will be available for tasting!
